Advanced Core Heating Technology
The Bondtech CHT nozzle works by splitting the filament into three strands, increasing the surface area that comes into contact with heat. This nozzle is designed to fit several hotends commonly used with Elegoo printers and other brands, including Mosquito, Copperhead, E3D V4/V5/V6, and RepRap M6. It's also compatible with after-market hotends like those used in the Bambu Lab X1, offering flexibility for upgrades and custom setups.
Material Recommendations
The coated brass construction is suitable for printing with a wide range of non-abrasive filaments such as PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, TPE, Nylon, ASA, PC, HIPS, PP, and PVA. For abrasive materials like carbon- or glass-filled composites, Bondtech recommends using hardened steel or coated copper nozzles instead.
Installation Guidance
For safe and proper installation, always heat the hotend to at least 250 degrees celsius before removing or fitting the nozzle. Use a 6mm wrench and apply a maximum tightening torque of 1.5 Nm to avoid damaging the threads or nozzle structure.
